Your group should focus on the dangers of texting in general. Some suggestions are health hazards or driving. Brainstorm and come up with as many sub-topics as you can. You may find some in your research.
Prepare a survey to engage the students about there knowledge and experience about Texting, Cyberbullying and Sexting. You will be responsible for the questions on texting. The other groups will give you their questions on Cyberbullying and Sexting. Your group is responsible for the survey and graphing the results.The following websites should help you as well as the videos on the Introduction and Task pages. You should analyze the results of the survey in a graph that you add to your PowerPoint Presentation.
Now give another card a title such as Texting While Driving. Take the notes in your own words on the card and put the source number on the card so you know from which source you got the information. Take all the notes you can from this source then repeat for the next sources until you have all the information for your 4 slides.
At this point you need to decide with your group, who will do the Introduction and Conclusion slides, the background music or add the presentation recording if you decide to do that instead of presenting live, the graph of the survey results, include the video in his/her slide set, and compile the slides into one presentation. After researching Texting using the resource links above and videos below, create a PowerPoint presentation on Textomg complete with statistics, a short video that you can get from the resources, the dangers in detail, and solutions to help protect teens from these dangers.
